Gorno-Altai airport regained investor
The Government of the Altai Republic was able to sell 100 - per cent stake in the Gorno-Altai airport to potential investors, which promises to reconstruct the airport complex.
With the development of tourism in the Altai republican authorities confronted with the problem of modernization of transport infrastructure in the region, which in recent years clearly unable to cope with the growing flow of tourists. For quick and comfortable delivery of tourists needed to revive the airport in the Gorno-Altaisk, not force since 1995. The Government of the republic several times tried to resume work air port. The last attempt was made last year - during the summer period was organized by several flights on the route of Gorno-Altaisk - Novosibirsk at An-38 plane, designed for 27 passengers. But to establish regular air and failed.
At the airport reconstruction billions are needed, but they do not exist in the regional budget.

Even in 2005 the Government of Armenia to put airport complex, located in the Republican property for sale, but wishing to acquire inactive for more than 10 years the airport was not found. In May this year republican authorities once again announced an auction for the sale of Gorno-Altai airport, hoping that the creation of special economic zone of tourist and recreational type attract potential investors to this promising
object. But the current auction attracted not a single buyer. Then the RA Government has decided to sell the airport through the public offering, allowing to reduce the price. Sales were to take place in three periods: from 6 to 16 June, the price stood at stake to start the auction price - 48.3 million rubles, then from 17 to 30 June would be the price fell to 40 million and from 1 to July 18 - to 34 million rubles.
But early in the first period, found an investor who bought the airport for a maximum price. The Deputy Minister of Property Relations of the Republic of Altai Love Kurnaeva correspondent reported "RG", the Gorno-Altai that the airport has become one of Moscow's companies, fully intends to reconstruct the airport complex.

-- For sale was exhibited only terminal and related infrastructure, and airfield, which is federal property, now reconstructed. Last year we learned the 85 million rubles allocated for this purpose from the federal budget. This year, expecting revenues 800 million rubles. Total same for the "complete reconstruction of the airfield should be 1058 billion rubles. This will allow to extend runway to 2.4 kilometers and take class aircraft "Boeing-737".
Regarding the terminal, they should deal with private investors, and so we sold it. We want funds for private investors built a modern airport, attractive to tourists, and most importantly - self. The project of establishing a special economic zone of tourist-recreational type in the territory of the Altai Republic, we plan to improve the entire transport infrastructure, including Gorno-Altai airport, and roads.
